Privacy Policy

This policy explains what CELPIP Trainer collects, why, and who we share it with. We keep it minimal — just what's needed to run the practice tools and save your progress.

Account: your email address (to sign in with a one-time code) and a display name you choose.

Practice data: your answers, scores, progress, words you mark to train, and the emails you write for the writing practice.

Usage & device: anonymous analytics (pages, events, approximate region, device type) collected via Google Analytics.

On your device: a session token and a few settings are stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in.

To provide the practice tools, save and sync your progress, generate and score practice tasks, run leaderboards, and understand overall usage so we can improve the app.

We rely on a few processors to run the Service:

• OpenAI — generates practice content and audio, and scores your writing. Text you submit for scoring is sent to OpenAI to produce feedback.
• Cloudflare — hosts the backend and database (accounts, progress, generated content).
• Firebase Hosting — serves the website.
• SendGrid — delivers your sign-in code emails.
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics.

We do not sell your personal data.

Google Analytics may set cookies to measure usage. Your sign-in session and preferences are stored in local storage on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

We keep your account and progress while your account is active. You can reset your progress in the app, and you can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.

You can log out any time, reset your progress, or ask us to delete your data. To opt out of analytics, you can use your browser's privacy settings or an ad/analytics blocker.

CELPIP Trainer is intended for people preparing for the CELPIP test and is not directed at children under 13.
